Top 10 TV Shows to Watch Now in 2022

We’ll show you the top 10 tv shows to watch right now in this article. This post, which many of you are familiar with, gets an annual update around this time. Due to delays in the manufacturing process, there were fewer options available, but we were lucky enough to come across a few of them that were outstanding. Let’s take a look at the top shows we watched this year, including a brand new show that most of you have never heard of.

1. Mare of Easttown

Kate Winslet plays Mare Sheehan, a small-town detective in a Philadelphia suburb, in the seven-episode crime thriller mini-series on HBO.

The story follows Mare Sheehan investigates the recent murder of a teenage mother while her life is falling apart. Many people in the neighborhood are skeptical of her abilities as a detective because she failed to find a missing young girl a year earlier.

It’s no secret that Mare is a divorcee who has dealt with the loss of her son and is currently embroiled in a custody dispute over her grandson with the mother of her former heroin addict daughter-in-law.

2. Bosch

One of Prime Video’s most enduring productions. Michael Connelly’s novels serve as the inspiration for this police drama.

Titus Welliver plays Harry Bosch, a former special forces soldier turned homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood section. With each new season, Harry is confronted with a case that tests his moral compass and his adherence to the letter of the law.

Some of you may recognize Lance Reddick and Jamie Hector from HBO’s The Wire as supporting actors in Titus. Season seven of Bosch, which aired from June 2021 to June 2022, premiered in 2014.

3. Cobra Kai

Cobra Kai is a cinematic adaptation of The Karate Kid from 1984. Ralph Macchio reprises his role as Daniel LaRusso, and William Zabka plays Johnny Lawrence.

34 years have passed since the All Valley Karate Tournament of 1984 took place. Johnny’s desire to reestablish the Cobera Kai Karate Dojo reignites his old rivalry with Daniel, and the drama begins. Those nostalgic for the 1980s will enjoy this show, but it is not the only reason to watch it.

The plot and characters are well-developed, and it’s a blast to read. Cobra kai has been renewed for a fourth season, which should arrive by the end of current year at the earliest.

4. Resident Alien

The Syfy Network’s science-fiction comedy-drama is based on Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse’s comic book series of the same name.

Alan Tudyk plays Harry, an alien dispatched to Earth with orders to wipe out all of humanity. After crashing, he adopts the persona of a doctor in a small Colorado town. Unlike Robin Williams and Morgan Mindy, Tudyk’s portrayal of an alien is seamless and hysterically funny.

Resident Alien has been renewed by Syfy for a second season, but no air date has been set. The first season of Peacock is currently streaming for free if you’d want to catch up.

5. The Crown

Peter Morgan was the brains behind it. This is a Netflix original series about Queen Elizabeth II’s time in power. After the death of her father King George V, she was 25 when she ascended to the throne.

The cast is rotated every two seasons to represent the characters’ advancing age over the course of the show’s run, which takes place between the 1940s and now. Pretension and formality are to be expected in a show about the royal family, but there is enough interpersonal conflict that occurs outside of character for it to be engaging.

The Crown presently has four seasons available on Netflix, with a fifth and a sixth on the way. The next season of The Walking Dead is set to premiere in 2022.

6. Warrior

Jonathan Tropper, the creator of Banshee, another one of our favorites, adapted Bruce Lee’s original concept for Cinemax and based it on his own experiences as a martial artist.

A warrior takes place in San Francisco in the 1870s amid the tong wars. In order to find his sister, a young martial arts prodigy travels to San Francisco and joins one of the city’s most powerful tongs. Warrior is a must-see if you like fast-paced stories with exciting action sequences.

The show’s first two seasons aired on Cinemax, and the third season will air on HBO Max. The first two seasons of Game of Thrones are currently available on HBO Max. Season three’s release date is still a mystery to me.

7. Ted Lasso

This sports comedy on Apple TV+ is a welcome diversion from the chaos of the world.

Ted Lasso, played by Jason Sudeikis, is the main character. A college football coach from the United States who is hired to lead an English Premier League team in spite of his lack of coaching expertise. It’s a lot of fun to watch because of the endearing characters and upbeat tone.

After the first season, you’ll be clamoring for an extension. Thank goodness Ted Lasso’s second season won’t be released until July 23rd, 2021, on Apple TV Plus.

8. The Boys

Adapted from the comic book series, the superhero anti-hero action thriller can be seen now on Prime Video. It follows a group of vigilantes as they battle those with superhuman talents who misuse them.

The show is much better than the Netflix and Disney Plus Marvel series. It’s jam-packed with action, but there’s none of the filler. There are plenty of surprises, and the script and acting are top-notch.

Prime Video now has the first two seasons of the boys available to view, with the third season just getting started. There’s no word on when the film will be released just yet.

9. The Mandalorian

This action-adventure space western from the Star Wars universe is the coolest thing on Disney Plus. On screen, Pedro Pascal plays a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter who is hired to capture a child and ends up fleeing after being hired to do so.

Actually, we enjoy this series better than the overhyped Star Wars films from the previous decade. The Mandalorian is a high-octane, visually stunning action film with a solid script and a stellar cast.

The Mandalorian has been renewed for a third season and is currently available on Disney Plus in its first two seasons. It’s still in the planning stages, so there’s a chance it won’t be available for several years.

10. Gangs of London

Sky Atlantic in the UK initially aired this British action-crime drama, which premiered on AMC in the U.S. in April of 2021.

Present-day London gang wars are chronicled as they are played out on screen. After Finn Wallace, London’s most prominent gangster, is assassinated, it’s up to Sean Wallace to stop competitors from seizing control. Joe Cole, best known for his roles as John Shelby and Peaky Blinders, plays Sean Wallace.

The plot of Gangs of London is compelling, with top-notch acting and some of the most exciting action scenes ever seen on television.

Season 2 of Gangs of London has recently begun filming, and no date has been set for its premiere.
