Top 10 Prime Video Original Series to Watch Now in 2022

In our ongoing series of posts, we look at the best TV shows available on various streaming sites. I’ll go over our top 10 favorite Amazon Prime Video original shows. Let’s get started.

1. Goliath

David E. Kelly and Jonathan Shapiro created this legal drama. Billy Bob Thornton starred in the film, which initially aired in 2016. He portrays Billy McBride, a once-powerful attorney with a famous law practice who is now a washed-up ambulance chaser living in Santa Monica, California, looking for forgiveness. Billy files a wrongful death lawsuit against the legal firm he co-founded.

If you enjoy old-school legal dramas, goliath is a must-see, featuring outstanding performances from the entire cast. based solely on the first season, which is excellent The series would easily be in our top five, but the subsequent seasons, while still outstanding, haven’t met the same expectations.

Three seasons of Goliath are currently accessible to watch, with a fourth and final season set to premiere in 2021.

2. Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan

This is the action spy thriller Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan which premiered in 2018. Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland created it. John Krasinski plays CIA analyst Jack Ryan in the series.

It follows Jack, an up-and-coming agent who is thrown into a risky field assignment after discovering a pattern of terrorist communication that threatens global disaster. Krazynski is supported by an excellent supporting cast, which includes Wendell Pierce as Ryan’s boss, James Greer.

Two seasons of Jack Ryan are currently available on Netflix, and a third has been ordered. Season three is not likely to premiere until late 2021 at the earliest.

3. Upload

Upload is a science fiction comedy. It premiered in 2020 and was created by Greg Daniels, who also worked on The Office in the United States.

In the year 2033, mankind have the ability to upload themselves into the virtual afterlife of their choice. The plot revolves around Nathan, a computer programmer who dies prematurely and is uploaded to an opulent lakeside village, but remains under the control of his still-living girlfriend Ingrid.

This incredible program features outstanding riding and top-notch production quality, as well as an intriguing plot twist you won’t see coming. The show has been renewed for a second season, although no release date has been set.

4. Good Omens

This is the fantasy drama Good Omens, which premieres in 2019 and is based on Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s novel of the same name. BBC Studios and Amazon Studios collaborated on the six-episode mini-series.

The story follows Crowley, a demon played by David Tennant, and Aziraphale, an angel played by Michael Sheen. They are long-time friends who want to avert the Antichrist’s arrival and, with it, Armageddon, the final conflict between heaven and hell.

Tennent and Sheen have fantastic on-screen chemistry. They are accompanied by a stellar supporting ensemble that includes Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Michael McKean, and many more.

Good Omens is a lighthearted show that is a lot of fun to watch. Unfortunately, because it is a mini-series, there is only one season available.

5. Fleabag

Fleabag is a British dark comedy that released in 2016. Phoebe Waller Bridge developed and wrote the film, which is a collaboration between Two Brothers Pictures and Amazon Studios. She also plays the main character, Fleabag, a furious and confused lady living in London who is grappling with a terrible tragedy.

This ingeniously crafted comedy takes no punches; it’s brutally honest while also being hilarious, and Waller Bridge delivers an outstanding performance. The second season premiered on Amazon Prime Video in 2019, and there are no plans for a third season at this time.

6. Bosch

This police drama is one of Prime Video’s longest-running series, based on a series of books by Michael Connolly.

The first season, which debuted in 2014, starred Titus Wolver as Harry Bosch. He’s a former army special forces agent who now works as a homicide investigator in the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood division. Each season of this slow-burning series introduces a fresh case that tests Harry’s moral compass and unwavering adherence to the rules.

Six seasons are currently accessible for viewing, and a seventh and final season will be released sometime in 2021.

7. Sneaky Pete

Sneaky Pete is a crime drama series. David Shore and Bryan Cranston created the first season, which premiered in 2017.

The show follows Giovanni Ribisi as Marius, a con man freed from prison who adopts the identity of his former cellmate Pete, reconciling with Pete’s estranged family who are unaware that he is not their long-lost loved one.

The plot is fast-paced and suspenseful, keeping you on the edge of your seat, with a terrific supporting cast that includes Margo Martindale and the aforementioned Bryan Cranston.

This is the crime drama thriller ZeroZeroZero premiering in 2020.

This eight-part mini-series chronicles the perilous voyage from Mexico to Italy of a massive consignment of cocaine. Conflicts exist between opposing cartels, mafias, and crooked businesses. A New Orleans-based American family who is responsible for brokering the shipment is caught in the crossfire.

Perhaps the most underestimated series on Prime Video, this high-budget drama will keep you fascinated from start to finish. The narrative is intricate and well-acted, and the cinematography is breathtaking. If you enjoy shows like Narcos, you should put ZeroZeroZero on your watch list.

9. The Expanse

The Expanse is a science fiction drama that premiered on the Sci-Fi Network in 2015 before being picked up by Amazon Prime Video in season four.

The story is set in the distant future, after humanity has colonized the solar system. With tensions between earth and mars increasing, the plot follows a group of anti-heroes as they attempt to uncover a conspiracy threatening humanity.

This is a must-see show for sci-fi aficionados. The sights are stunning, the action is intense, and the plot is enthralling. There are five seasons available, and the show has been renewed for a sixth and final season. It may be available by the end of 2021.

10. The Boys

The Boys is our favorite Prime Video original series. The superhero action thriller, which will premiere in 2019, is based on the same-named comic book.

The tale centers on a group of vigilantes who take on corrupt superheroes who abuse their abilities. The show is action-packed, full of dark sarcastic comedy, superb riding and acting, and plenty of twists and turns.

The Boys now has two seasons and has been extended for a third, which will not air until at least the summer of 2022. Additionally, a spin-off series is in production.
